News: Goodbye Sheraton Grand Macao
After 12 years of operation, the Sheraton Grand Macao, the largest Sheraton in the world with over 4,000 rooms, is set to exit Macao later this year. This hotel will be officially reflagged as the Londoner Grand under Marriott International. Based on my experience, my intuition suggests that it might operate under a Luxury Collection property.
I stayed at this property back in March 2024 and one of two towers where most suites are accommodated was already blocked for renovation.
As of September 5th, rooms at Sheraton Grand Macao are still available for booking on the Marriott website, with the final day of operation appearing to be September 25th. The new hotel will reportedly feature 2,405 rooms, including a significant increase in suites—1,500 suites compared to the previous 360 suites under the Sheraton.
Stay tuned for more updates on this hotel property.
